Hello, and welcome to my blog concerning the pursuit of becoming a renaissance woman.
While the idea of a renaissance woman can evoke many images, whether that is of the works of art painted throughout the renaissance, a poorer class citizen waltzing upon the streets, or what I have created this page to explore.
Renaissance woman (n.): a woman who has acquired profound knowledge or proficiency in more than one field. [1]
Though this blog focuses on this definition, this does not mean that those women in art and on the streets were not truly Renaissance women as well. Many women throughout history have fit this description, with a longing for knowledge and skills in a wide berth.
I, for one, have always found myself called to the likes of many different fields - for each field has its own merits in what knowledge can be acquired and what it might bring to my life. And so now, here is a semi-formal record of this journey in life, where I attempt to continue to embody this principle.
I thank you for taking the time to read this, and implore that you join me on this journey.
